I’m going to graduate school in Virginia (zip 22903) this fall and am trying to figure out the most economical way to insure my family of three (adults both 30, baby <6 months old). The school-provided insurance will be a bit over $10k/year for the three of us.
We are going from ~$90k income to $0 when I go to school. Wife is staying home with the baby while I study.
How can I figure out whether coverage through the ACA will be a better deal, when I should sign up, how to shop, etc?
