My plan is no longer available so looking at new ones. Most plans appear to have a 4 to 6 day max hospital stay. What happens if someone needs to be in the hospital longer? Do they get screwed and must pay out of pocket after the covered days are exhausted?
This system is designed to bankrupt people 😞
Edit: plans via COBRA. All plans have deductible (but some are $0) and out of pocket max.
Edit 2: looked up Covered CA plans and they also list max days. This is horrible.
