Hi Im 24F, I might have to start taking a treatment for a chronic condition and I’m stressing out about my insurance possibly not covering it. The medications are pretty expensive and I was wondering what can I do to make them cover it? I have blue shield of California medi-cal. Do I call my insurance to approve it? Is there a special paper I need to fill out and submit? Does the pharmacy or doctor contact my insurance instead? Help, I’m really lost and I know nothing about insurance 🥺
