I lost my job in October. I applied for Medi-Cal and was told that I was eligible. I am however very confused because my household income for two (married filing together) was around $125,000 before tax. $25,000 out of that was my wife’s EDD from the pandemic period. The application process took around 2.5 months. I am hesitant to call to ask if the eligibility is accurate, as we will lose the coverage for god knows how long. I am also not confident to go to a doctor and use the insurance for our needs. What is the best thing we could do? Please advice!
