A little bit of a unique situation and need some help. I’m a fourth-year medical student in Ohio, my wife is currently working full-time as a nurse with our baby due in October. I’m about to age out of my parents’ health insurance when I turn 26 at the end of September. When my wife returns from maternity leave in January she’s going down to prn (one shift per week) and we will lose her benefits. In July, I will start my residency and will carry our health insurance. We need to get health insurance to cover us and the baby from January 1, 2022 to July 1, 2022 to cover that gap. We’re considering a few things:
-Medicaid (maybe???)
-High deductible private plan + direct primary care
-Health sharing ministry
Help us out!!
