Medication Refills

I’m not under the illusion that health insurance is to be perfect by any means, but why do I have to pay out of pocket $157 for a Dr. appointment just to refill my regular perscriptions (I take zoloft for my depression and Adderal for Adult ADHD)? I just signed up for new health insurance for 2022 and the remaining deductable is $612, so when I went to schedule an appointment with my Dr, I learned that appointment will be $157.

Is there something I am missing or is that criminal? I am on a “Gold” level plan with Excellus Blue Shield and I feel like Gold is a quite ridiculous desciption for the plan.

Shouldn’t something like neccessary persciptions not fall into the category for things you must pay a lot out of the pocket for? If I go too long without these medication, I will be almost insane and barely able to function.
