I don’t really have an excuse (beyond convincing myself years ago that I don’t actually need ADHD treatment anymore and then acting all shocked-pikachu when deadlines are still an insurmountable challenge for me). I realize I had lots of opportunities to fix this along the way and flubbed every single one. It’s embarrassing. I know I fucked up; now, I just need to know how to dig myself out of this hole.
I’m in MA. Employed, decent income.
I finally started a new job this summer that offered health insurance! Hurray! I was dead-set on getting signed up and doing everything right, but I kept putting off enrolling for a reason I don’t know. I missed the deadline, and can’t get insurance through my employer until April.
And in the meanwhile, I had let my connectorcare lapse.
I’ve been sitting in paralyzed anxiety until now, but I’ve finally managed to break out of that inertia. My plan is to sign up for a state exchange plan for the next two months, and then sign up with my employer as soon as the open enrollment is available.
Now that I’m refilling out the application, I am unsure how to answer the question of whether I am offered health insurance from my employer. I was offered it. I didn’t enroll, and cannot enroll at the time being. How do I approach this in the form?
