Hi, I was getting my insurance from UHC for years which was being provided by my former employer. I quit that job on 5/14/2021 to start a new one on 6/1/2021. During that two week gap i went on a mini vaca to florida and when i came back a week later i wanted to make sure i was good so i got covid tested by the city sponsored testing site next to me like i previously have. Last time i went they used all the information they had on me on record which included my old insurance.
I just got a email from UHC that my claim has been processed and I owe them $57 for a rapid covid test and $57 for the regular covid test.
So here are my questions. Is there anything i can do ? I already got a new insurance card coming in the mail from my new employer. also I thought these city sponsored testing sites are supposed to be free even if you dont have insurance.
