As the title describes, I was laid-off a mere two days before I reached the end of the 90-day probation period before the activation of my benefits.
In preparation for the day my health insurance was set to kick in, I opened an account to access my would-be health insurance web portal. And when I logged recently, it stated my insurance coverage as ‘Active’.
So what I want to know is if I can indeed take advantage of this health insurance coverage? Would there be any legal or financial ramifications?
The insurance in question is NC Blue Cross Blue Shield.
