My older sister currently lives overseas, but she is pregnant and plans to deliver her baby in the US (In Toledo, Ohio). She needs to get insurance to avoid paying $20,000 for the operation. She is a citizen. What are her insurance options?

I know that having a pre existing condition (in this case pregnancy) is no problem so long as she purchases insurance for over 12 months. She wants to grant citizenship to the child by giving birth to him/her in the states. She’ll be spending at least her third trimester in Ohio.

What are insurance options that she can pursue?
