Hello, my employer is changing payroll companies and I’ll be without insurance for all of May but my husband (insured through me) has two appointments during that month that we’d rather not postpone.
Appt #1: Specialist follow up on May 5th (we saw them once in April, did some tests, and now need the see them again to discuss results)
Appt #2: Dentist procedure on May 11th.
My current insurance is through Aetna and they told me I can’t extend it or get any short term option. Also COBRA doesn’t apply because our company has less than 20 full time employees.
Any tips on what I should do? Should I get some kind of short term insurance for May?
Appreciate the help as I have no idea where to even start.
