Last year I signed up for [US Health Group] (ushealthgroup.c*m) insurance without doing too much research. I just wanted to have independent health insurance so my coverage was not dependent on my employer.
However as open enrollment is starting soon I figured I should at least shop my insurance. While doing some digging on my current ensure I realize that I’m pretty much paying for what is absolute minimal coverage if that.
The reviews for this insurer on TrustPilot and the Better Business Bureau are abysmal. I am terrified and peeved that I’ve been paying for this “coverage” for the past year.
I went to the dentist last week and they said that I would need some thing that comes under major procedure. Out of pocket that is $1500 procedure.
I guess my point is that I still don’t know how the United States health insurance system truly works and would love any help in picking an actually good provider.
Whether it is YouTube videos or your own personal experiences with getting individual independent healthcare.
Here is a copy of the cards I was sent: https://imgur.com/a/A8o9xYR
I can pay up to $300 combined for health and dental no need for vision
TLDR: F’d up and maybe got scammed into buying insurance that doesn’t really pay for anything. Need help getting actual coverage.
