Last May, I had an ER visit and paid the hospital bill in full in September.
Today, I received a bill from Envision Health Services for about $1400.
From my understanding on the quick reading I’ve done on Envision, they provide outsourced doctors to hospitals that might be out of network, but I wouldn’t have known that during an ER visit.
I spoke with a representative from Envision who is billing my insurance, but it’s UMR which is a part of United, who I’ve read has severed its ties with Envision. I should know what if anything is covered in 30-45 days, but I’m not optimistic.
Does anyone have advice on how to approach this? I’m also miffed they told me my bill was on hold for nearly a year when I never asked for that.
