I’m in a bit of weird situation and not sure exactly what to do.
I moved into my parent’s house in a different state at the beginning of this year to save money while everyone is working remote.
When I changed my address through work, I unknowingly lost my health insurance for my previous state, which led me to waiving any insurance changes as I thought I was already insured.
So now I don’t have any insurance, and I’m not sure if I should enroll in the current state (SC) or in my state of residency (VA).
I don’t plan on being here through the year, and will be getting back on my employer’s plan next Open Enrollment.
My question is two fold: 1. For which state should I enroll? 2. Should I get a short-term insurance plan until I’m back on my employer’s plan?
