I’m losing my existing coverage (United Health) due to a job change, and my new employer doesn’t offer health benefits (they offer substantially better pay, which is why I took their offer). Anyway, I’m pretty stumped when it comes to health insurance.
Below are some of my details:
• 30 y/o • Non-smoker • No chronic conditions, apart from mild asthma • $44k salary, will be bumped to $50k by August • No one else will be on the plan
I don’t visit the doctor often, but I do have a medication that I need to take daily (Symbicort). Everywhere I’ve checked it’s showing that Symbicort isn’t covered, which would be bad for me because of my asthma. I don’t want to stay with United Health due to the high cost, and I would like to have a policy that’s somewhere in the $200 – $250 range if possible. Based on my given info, could anyone provide recommendations/advice?
