Hey guys,
I hope everyone is doing well today. I was wondering if anyone could please tell me what the best private individual PPO health insurance plans are, and where I can buy them? I live in Arizona if that information is useful. Specifically, I am looking for a recommendation for a very good PPO health insurance policy that I can buy as an individual, without having to be the employee of any company. I am also open to suggestions for good brokers who can help me with this.
The reason I am asking is because my mother has kicked me off of her health insurance policy, despite the fact that I am paying for my portion of it. Technically, I am only 22 so I am still eligible to be on her plan for another three years. However, she is a very evil human being and she is just doing this because she knows it will hurt me, and she really enjoys hurting me. Her health insurance policy was an Anthem Blue Cross blue shield PPO policy through her employer, the University of Notre Dame. Her insurance was about as good as it gets. I never really had to pay for anything, whether prescriptions or copays at any doctor of my choice. I am looking for a private individual policy that is just as good as this one is, and it MUST be PPO.
In case it helps anyone fine the right solution, here is some of my personal info. I am 22 years old, no pre existing conditions. I am healthy. My current zip code is 85018, and as far as my income is concerned, I do not work but I have plenty of money available that I have saved for a very long time.
Also, I would like to mention that I am not interested in anything related to ObamaCare. I want private insurance through a private company, nothing federal.
Ideally, I would like to purchase a plan like the one she has, which I am no longer on. I know its expensive, but I have plenty of money and can afford it. The question is, where do I get it? I called blue cross blue shield and they said they only have PPO plans through employers, not for private individuals. Does anyone know if Anthem blue cross blue shield is any different, or if they even serve Arizona? What is most important to me is to be able to go to any doctor, any specialist, or any medical facility of my personal choice and have the majority of everything be covered by the insurance. I want the best medical insurance plan available with as close to 100% coverage as possible, I just want it privately, not through any employer.
Does anyone have any recommendations of where I can go to find a plan like this which is available to private individuals? Any help would be immensely appreciated as I am very new to this and have absolutely no idea where to begin, or how to know which companies or brokerages are reputable. Thank you for your help!
