Need some help understanding deductible/out of pocket

Hi all,

Wife is seeking new employment and we just received benefit info. Family of 3, daughter is 3yo. We currently have BAS (Cigna). Deductibles on current plan are $500/$1000, coinsurance is 80%, out of pocket max is $2000/$4000, $327.02 biweekly deduction.

New employer insurer is BCBSM, ded $250/$500, coinsurance 80%, out of pocket $6350/$12700, $340 biweekly deduction, also includes dental and vision.

Is the out of pocket max higher since the deductible is so low? We are generally healthy and not anticipating any upcoming medical expenses. Daughter has 1 or 2 well visits per year. I’ve never had a employer sponsored plan with that high of an out of pocket.
