One of my family members is almost 70 years old and they denied a fundamental procedure under grounds that it is not necessary.
How in the actual FUCK do they know it “isn’t necessary”? Their doctor told the insurance company that this is a needed procedure and they seemingly just ignored it.
Every step of the way with these people is a nightmare. No insurance company cares about you or your health, just the overhead of their executives and shareholders. Especially not 1199.
I’d love for some of these insurance reps to actually enter a hospital and see the people that they are making suffer by denying medications and procedures that are obviously needed but are magically “not necessary” under the arbitrary guidelines of people who don’t know anything but making money.
Fuck these people.
