Florida resident, single, no major health issues, I recently turned 26 and am in need of healthcare. I currently have two jobs and neither of them offer anything. I will be starting my PhD at University of Florida in August, so starting then I’ll be enrolled in their health care plan. I looked into getting extended on my parent’s insurance until then and they only offered Cobra, which seems to be too expensive for just me. I’m pretty dumb about all of this, I don’t understand what people mean by marketplace, and I made the big mistake of putting my number into a healthcare shopping site the other day so I’ve been absolutely bombarded with texts and calls.
I guess I am mainly interested in covering medical emergencies and dental right now. Anything else can wait.
