I just got a brand new job at a smaller company which does not offer any benefits. Because of this I will need to get my own health insurance. I have never done this before and am a bit lost as to where to find an ideal plan for me.
I am a very healthy person (24 years old) with no medical conditions / prescription medication etc. My salary is $150K so I don’t know if that means I won’t be able to qualify for any government healthcare. (I’m in Michigan)
Ideally I would like a plan with as low a monthly premium as possible with a high deductible in case of any serious injury etc.
What are my options here? Would it be possible to get something under $200 a month?
