Nursing home lied to Aetna

Nursing hone lied saying my grandpa could walk on his own a length of 50 feet while in rehab. He could not. He had spinal stenosis and couldn’t even get out of bed often. He was doing therapy, however it was assisted and only an hour a day. He was not walking on his own. After his death, which was 2 weeks from the original letter, the insurance company said the nursing homes claimed he could walk more than 100ft now. This was not true at all and the insurance wants to charge us for costs as well as the nursing home now.

How can I dispute this if he’s since deceased? This is all recent. I feel like him being alive was literal proof that he couldn’t walk but now it’s our word versus theirs?
