(OK) Have some health concerns I plan on tackling starting January. How do I find the best insurance for them?

28F in Oklahoma making 65K/year pre tax. I’ll get $600/month from my employer starting November to pay for private health insurance. List of things I’m interested in or might need:

1) Bilateral salpingectomy (I think BCBS will cover tubal ligation, but I don’t want that.)

2) MRI of knees, neck, jaw

3) TMJ specialist

4) Knee specialist

5) Physical therapy for knees

6) Therapy

7) Hormone specialist

8) Possibly special dry eye drops (Like Restasis. Very pricey.)

9) Dermatologist

My current plan is Harmony by Medica and it blows. Limited list of providers and a lot of things they refuse to cover.

Do I just…find doctors in my area that are well rated, see what insurance they accept, make a list for everything, and cross check?

Call insurance companies and ask, for example, if a bi salp is fully covered?

I’ve screwed myself a couple of times in the past by having little knowledge of the best way to manage insurance, and I’m determined to avoid that with my new plan.
