The most I have to pay out of pocket for the entire year, correct??
I have met my out of pocket max for the year thanks to cancer and I was recently asked to pay a copay. I explained I met my out of pocket max and they told me that doesn’t apply to copays.
I then called my insurance (that I got from the marketplace) and they too said copays are not part of the out of pocket max.
Since when?? I’ve, sadly, met my out of pocket max several times over the years and it’s always meant that was the most I had to pay (minus premiums of course) so did I just get a couple of people who truly don’t know what they are talking about? Or does it not mean copays?
