Hello all. I had an eye surgery back on March 23rd and paid OOP 3570. My out of pocket max is 3000 and I had previously applied about 148 to my 2000 deductible. That claim from surgery STILL has not processed bc my insurance needed to verify if I had secondary insurance (I dont) and I had to contact them after getting a denial letter after making sure my dr and facility were in network, covered etc. Denial letter was just so they could verify if I had secondary insurance (??) And now that claim is reprocessing, will take ANOTHER 30-45 business days 😐 I will have to pay an additional $600 for my second eye surgery putting me at over 4k OOP for these surgeries that I need and can’t reschedule. Is there anything that I can do? It’s just very stressful wiping out my savings for every surgery (I’m a new college grad I don’t have a lot of monies 🥲) I call for updates, still pending… they said no way to expedite either.
