I just got my daughter enrolled in Pennie. She was eligible, it said next step was pick insurance. I picked a health insurance and a dental, I paid for both. Everything said it was set, she would be covered starting Jan 1st.
Today I log on because it says there’s something important in my inbox. I check it and it says they determined my daughter MIGHT be eligible for CHIP, so they dis-enrolled her. I called and listened to some stupid recording about Covid for about 5 minutes and then it told me all operators are busy and hung up. I’ll try to call back tomorrow.
But seriously, WHAT is up with this? How is it legal? I enrolled my daughter in health and dental, got accepted, (full price, it’s not like it’s free or reduced) PAID, and everything was ready to go and they saw that she MIGHT get insurance for cheaper through Chip so they just took the insurance away? I already paid. And now she is uninsured, and the open enrollment is nearly over. How’s that legal? It’s so messed up. I don’t even want free or reduced, I just wanted her covered and she was going to be.
