I got a job and switched insurances last year. Recently I found out that my pharmacist has been billing my old insurance, which has been continuing to pay for my prescription. I just happened to learn this while calling them for something else.
I have given the pharmacist my most updated insurance information when i switched jobs. What happens if the insurance company he was billing finds out they were paying while I was no longer covered?
Can I send those claims to my current employer to process given they are the actual insurer for that time period?
Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
