PHCS – Legit or scam

I’m self-employed so health insurance is stupid expensive and the deductibles are incredibly High. I found a plan that has zero deductibles and has flat rate co-pays for visiting the hospital and going to the doctor with limits on the number of days you can be in the hospital before they stopped covering it. It does however list a number of exclusions to care that gets pretty expensive and then includes things that aren’t necessarily listed. It also has an annual expense limits around $10,000 per family and $5,000 per individual. We’re relatively young now but if we get seriously hurt, it could be a big problem. They suggested getting a short-term care plan to cover a large expenses. I’m wondering if it’s on the level or if we should just stick with the big companies and keep paying a fortune ($890/mo for my wife age 33 and I age 34 with a $6,700 deductible).

From what I’m reading, it is pretty scary stuff. I was wondering if anyone knows of any places where a self-employed person with no common law employees can buy individual health insurance collectively such as through an organization because companies like this kind of scare me. If it is something that is legit, I would be ecstatic because it would greatly reduce my costs.

Unfortunately, we make just enough that health insurance Marketplace subsidies won’t apply
