I went to the emergency room a couple months ago for BPPV. My health insurance is Cigna Managed Network Plan from my workplace.
The bill from hospital was $2,700. My deductible for ER is $250. Insurance paid out $2,450 as expected.
However, I just received another bill from physician. Looks like they are contracted out by the hospital. The physician is charging $550. I see that my insurance paid out $150, reducing balance to $400.
I thought I would only be paying $250 total. Is it likely the insurance and physician are in dispute about the bill? I plan to contact insurance tomorrow.
