I used to have insurance, through a major insurance company. I left my job in early October, and the insurance ended about a week later.
I got a new job with a small insurance company. The insurance kicked in on November 1. I have a PPO. They are such a small company, and I live out of state, so naturally none of my local providers have heard of them.
The problem I am having, is that for the last two months, Lifestance health has been sending my bills to my old insurance company. They don’t cover it for obvious reasons. I have send them a copy of the card (front and back), and explained to them multiple times that they are in network. They insist they aren’t. I have confirmed with my new insurance they are in network. I have a PPO anyway so it doesn’t matter.
They will not send the bills to the new insurance company! I don’t know what else to do. Should I file a complaint with the state? I am in Florida.
I don’t know how to get through to them. What else can I do?
