My agent is encouraging me to get a marketplace plan even though my employer offers an “affordable” and “valued” /qualified plan.
My employer plan for the year: $13,128 (family)
Marketplace with PTC factored in: $5,184 (family)
You can see the temptation. (Shame on such uneven calculations! I think my employer suckered for such a bad deal or someone got a kickback for signing such a shitpile)
Anyone know the risks involved? Are there certain triggers in place to ensure I don’t get away with this?–or is it really a non-existent risk as my agent suggests?
