My step son now has private coverage through my boyfriends work. Step sons mother has had AHCCCS for him since he was born, and now AHCCCS is his secondary insurance this year.
My question is, kiddo lives with Dad full time and dad has full legal custody as well. Mom has no overnight stays with the child. Is it still legal for her to keep his AHCCCS benefits? Or does he have to live with her or be dependent on her to do so?
We would love to keep both, but my boyfriend would be considered to high income for AHCCCS so we don’t want it biting us in the ass later on.
