Question about Out of Pocket Maximums and questions about a specific plan

About me: 29 years old with good health history and no preexisting conditions. No kids. I never go to the doctor for mundane things. Only big issues like broken bones or I’m literally going to die.

I am considering enrolling in this plan: https://go.hc.gov/3i52PP4

This plan seemed appealing to me because it appears to be a “safety net” for catastrophic scenario costs. Am I interpreting that correctly? That’s what Out of Pocket Maximums do?

Plan specific questions:

– Is there anyway I could be stuck with some crazy $100K+ bill with this plan? The covered services seem generic to me so I don’t really feel confident in what all it does/doesn’t cover. Anyone know for sure?

-I noticed on the Summary of Benefits, if you scroll to the very bottom, it shows cost estimate for example services. The first example is of having a baby, but the total ends up being $8100. How could that be if the Out of Pocket Maximum is $6900? That made me leery, because that really doesn’t make sense.

If anyone has time to look the plan over, I would be forever grateful. I just want to make sure I am reading things correctly.
