Hey guys! I currently have healthcare through my job, and my husband has access to healthcare through his but is still on his dad’s plan as he is 25.
If I got a new job that didn’t offer health insurance, would that be a qualifying event to get both my husband and I signed up through his employer? Or since he doesn’t currently have insurance through them, would my qualifying event be irrelevant to them?
Not the end of the world if we have to wait till open enrollment as I can do catastrophic coverage through our state that should get me through till then, but I was curious about it. Thanks!
