Question about this specific situation

Hey everyone, apologies in advance as I’m not totally educated on the topic of health insurance. I guess that’s what led me here!

My girlfriend (25) has a condition called MOG, which is an autoimmune disease that requires frequent MRIs and all sorts of other appointments and a prescription that can rack up the medical bills. She’s currently covered under her parents’ health insurance but that will end in about two months. As of now, she does not have a job that includes health insurance though she is actively looking for one.

I plan on putting her under my insurance once we’re married, but I fear she is going to have some insane medical bills once she’s no longer covered under her parents’ plan. Is there any affordable plan she could be covered by until we resolve this issue?

Everything we’ve seen so far has been insanely expensive but I wanted to make sure we weren’t missing something. Any help and advice is appreciated. Just looking for something to point us in the right direction as it’s a stressful time right now.

Note: We’re from Massachusetts if that helps to answer this question.
