I have anthem blue cross and am a resident of California. I went to an urgent care in Oklahoma and got a test but I later found out the urgent care was out of network. I received a $400 bill in the mail. What options do I have to waive or reduce the fee? Or who can I go to to get help in my situation? My insurance already said it’s out of network, so I have to pay 100% of the bill, and the urgent care just wants their money and told me that I’m responsible for the bill. I can’t afford it because my income tanked due to the pandemic, and this wipes out most of my stimulus check. What can I do from here to try and at least minimize my payment?
