Refund of my portion of procedure where insurance already paid theirs?

Ok long story as short as I can. I paid for my implant procedure & then it healed for a few months. Then I paid for the crown and the crown was placed. The claim was sent to my insurance that day and covered at 50%.

The placement of the crown did not go well, so after a day or two the dentist removed the crown and said to come back in a few months.

The thing is I already paid in full for the crown…..that I do not have, and will not have for several more months. Will the office be able to even consider giving me my money back for the time being?

When I do finally get it placed, I will pay my portion again. I’m just not sure if the fact my insurance has already paid their portion would effect this somehow?

It’s several hundred dollars I would much rather have right now, rather than having them keep it for a service they have not yet completed.

Am I being reasonable? Is this possible? Is the office perfectly legit to say no absolutely not? Thoughts?

I’ve tried a few subs with no luck getting advice….I’m desperate.

THANK YOU!!!!
