[link] [comments]A previous employer reported me as “inactive” to my insurance company, while, I was out sick with COVID-19 for two weeks. I say previous employer because, I’d actually quit the job two months after this happened. I’m just finding out about it now. Due to letters and bills being received in the mail now. I’d given them notice of my illness. As well as, a doctor’s note. Returned to work after 2 weeks and was employed there for another 2 months. Evidently, in the two weeks I was out with COVID-19. I had no insurance coverage. Because they’d reported me “inactive.” None of my medical bills within these 2 weeks are being covered. I’d went to an urgent care and a hospital during that two weeks. The insurance company is saying that I’m responsible for the $2000.00 medical bills, entirely. What should I do? submitted by /u/rojeaehues [link] [comments]Read Morer/HealthInsurance
