I’m moving to Illinois in a few weeks. My landlord is not sending me my new lease until Jan 25, and I can’t change my mailing address to the new address yet since there’s still someone currently living there.
I’m wanting to apply for Medicaid in Illinois but I’m wondering if there are any residency requirements. I’ll be able to enter my new address, but I don’t have any documentation to prove it as of yet. My drivers license, vehicle, and everything else is still registered in my old state. I don’t have a job yet and I’m not in school.
Will I get denied because of this? I know the deadline to apply is Jan 15. I can’t find many clear answers on google other than that there aren’t residency requirements once you move to a new state, and that you don’t need documentation to prove it, but I’m still worried. Any advice is appreciated.
