I have a large filling that may be starting to come loose and my dentist wanted to put a crown on it. The cost after insurance is $1300, so I went for a second opinion and that dentist said I would probably need one eventually but as long as I wasn’t in pain it wasn’t necessary to do it right now.
That got me thinking though that if I’m going to need it eventually, and it’s going to be that expensive, I should look into getting secondary insurance now to help defray the cost.
What should I look for to ensure that the secondary insurance will actually contribute and that it will cover crowns (apparently some don’t?)Thank you!
