My parents are both seniors and both have some type of Medicare Advantage plan with Kaiser. They’ve been with Kaiser for ~30 years so have no desire to switch coverage. They recently started spending about 1/3 of the year in Ohio, a state that isn’t served by Kaiser. And, not surprisingly, they’re starting to have more health issues.
I’d like for them to be able to seek regular preventative services when they’re in Ohio without having to go to urgent care or the emergency department, which are the only things covered by Kaiser.
What might be a good option for them? If this is too broad a question I’ll do my best to narrow it down.
