I found a breast lump and my armpit is tender, so I am freaking out that I have breast cancer. I’m set to see the doctor for my initial exam on 12/27. However, my insurance switches over to a different company on 1/1. If they do diagnose me with something before 1/1, is my new plan going to deny coverage? I’m self-employed and get no governmental help (I purchased the plan on my own directly through Florida Blue). I don’t want to wait to see the doctor but I also need health insurance coverage if I need treatment and surgery.
