Hello All, My wife is starting a new job and looking at her health insurance options offered by her new office.
My wife is a type 1 diabetic on insulin and my son is on HGH. Early 30s with young kids. Just north of NYC
Currently we have the following
-United Oxford Gold
-$1,407.36 per month
-$0 deductible
-Max OOP $11,000
-$750 for ER, $500 if admitted
-Most prescriptions run $50
Potential new plan Aenta HSA
-$452 per month
-$3,000 deductible (her job puts $2,250 towards it)
-$6,000 Max OPP
-everything is 90% covered after deductible in network (60% out of network)
-Prescriptions are tiered -T1 $10 Copay -T2 30% max of $60 -T3 40% MAX of $200
Seems like the most I would be out is $11k, with her diabetes and my sons hgh im sure well hit the Max OOP. Overall I would save ~$6k if I understand this correctly.
Is there something I could missing? The hard part would be paying out of pocket until we hit that 6k.
