EDIT: Washington state.
Due to personal reasons even though I’m 24 I was no longer on my parents’ health insurance as of this last summer. I qualified for special enrollment and chose Molina as my plan. At the time it was just to make sure I have something.
My mental health is definitely on the downswing – could be the season – and I’m trying to find a therapist who takes Molina, to help me with depression, anxiety and personal growth. However now that I’ve started searching, almost every psychologist I’ve found in my area under my insurance specializes in child and family therapy. This is 100% the case, but a number of the psychologists I contacted (whom I thought were a better fit for my needs) said they are booked.
I have until January 15th to apply for a different insurance plan – should I change in the hopes of having treatment options better suited for my demographic?
