Sloan Kettering Out Of Network, any suggestions?

Hello, this is all preliminary, but I want the best answers when dealing with insurance.

Not confirmed, but judging by scans my father has Pancreatic Cancer. I am devastated, but I digress for the sake of the post

Sloan Kettering (a top tier cancer hospital) is only 35 minutes from our home, but it appears they are out of network. Obviously we want the best care offered to him possible and will probably move forward with them even with the costs if we financially can handle it.

I am not crazy about the health grades the oncologists received that were in network (I understand reviews can be skewed as sometimes people are irritated at a terminal disease). I doubt that is a legitimate argument when trying to get out of network coverage.

TLDR; What would be the best avenues for being covered out of network, or reducing the bill as much as possible?

He has UnitedHealthcare Group Medicare Advantage (PPO). I believe it is my mother’s work insurance working in conjunction with medicare.

Thank you
