I haven’t had health insurance since high school, my dad never included me into his plan because he was pretty lazy and just didn’t do it, yet didn’t understand or grasp the expenses if I got into a serious accident. At least 5 or 6 years later I still don’t have health insurance and he suggest I apply for health insurance on my own. I live in California and my tax return was roughly $12,000 or so for 2020 and I filed independently. I went on healforcalifornia.com and their are rates as low as $1 per month for blue of California (silver 94 trio)? Which sounds too good to be true. I don’t know exactly if where I’m looking is right. Am I looking at the right direction? What is the cheapest option available for a person in my situation? Or should I suggest my parents again to include me in their plan?
