Just started a new job last month. 4/1 was my first day with my new coverage. To my surprise when the cards came this weekend, one was included for my 7 month old son. He is already covered under my wife/his mother’s insurance (also united).
I didn’t opt him in although the whole process was a much bigger pain in the ass than previous times I’ve switched jobs. My hire date overlapped with the very end of open enrollment with my new company and their benefits administrator noticed I’d never logged in (because I hadn’t started yet) so she took the liberty of opting me out of all coverage. Getting that all undone was a pain in the ass.
How do I get him removed from my plan asap?
