Subrogation Letter

I got a subrogation letter in CA and it has two questions: 1. Was my medical care for an accident-related injury, work injury, or work-related illness? 2. Are you making a claim or taking legal action because of this injury, or do you plan to make a claim or take legal action because of this injury?

My situation was I was going through depression, I wasn’t sleeping and was hallucinating (no drugs). I then slammed knife on my fingers pretty hard. It just left deep cut in my skin. I went to the hospital for this.

Do I answer yes to 1st question? or no to both?

Yes to the first question asks for more information like address, police involved or attorney.. when my situation was due to mental health self-affliction.

If i answer no to the questions, would they send me a letter saying i’m liable for the heath coverage I got?

Any help would he great, thank you!!
