Supplemental Health Insurance seems like a great option – looking for feedback…. I recently looked into buying supplemental health insurance from Kemper Health.

I understand that it is not major medical but I am 30 and healthy. The broker I worked with made a few great points. First, I like how payments can be assigned directly to me. The affordable care act is available 8 months out of the year so when I go to the Dr. (covered up to $125) I will be able to know if I need to do any elective surgeries which I can schedule during an open enrollment period. I will pay one ACA premium and then get my supplemental plan to reimburse me. Furthermore if in a car accident, Heath insurance doesn’t pay anyways.. it’s at fault. So I will make money on my Heath insurance if someone hits me because I will be directly reimbursed. Covers hospital, icu, surgery bloodwork. $500 deductible and the indemnity part can make it a $0 deductible in many cases.

Does anybody have any feedback? It seems like the best way to go.
