Switching insurance with a biologic

I am not currently switching, but I seem to have finally achieved remission from Ulcerative Colitis with Entyvio, 300mg/month.

Now that I’m in remission, there’s some new jobs I’d like apply to (I’m an electrical engineer at an aerospace company and want to move to tech). However, I’m terrified that a new insurance may somehow deny my Entyvio. My current plan DID deny it until my doctor appealed the decision. Is this is a possibility? How do I prevent this from happening? I live in California and I know the state has some non-medical switching laws, but I don’t understand what they cover.
