Switching jobs — health insurance options

Was looking for some guidance. I’m in the process of switching jobs and won’t be eligible for new health insurance until June 1st (creating a 6 week gap in insurance). My family is under my plan

Understand I can retroactively tap into COBRA, albeit with an significant cost. The plan was to ride out the six week period and hope for no need to see a doctor, however, my wife’s company also offers deeply subsidized health insurance, with very high out of pocket maximums and deductibles.

Is it possible to sign-up for my wife’s plan for that six week period of time and then switch over to my plan on the 1st?
